Senior Estimator/ Project Manager

Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete projects.

Prepare a complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, take-off information, and contract requirements.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Supervise the total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.  This includes interfacing with client representatives, consultants, architects, and other contractors and key trades.

Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control), and may also provide daily direction of onsite administrative staff (i.e. accounting, purchasing).
Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
Provide technical assistance (i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.)as required.  Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.

Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
Plan, organize, and staff key field positions through regional department heads, other project managers, construction managers, etc.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy.

Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.
Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site superintendent to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.

Represent the company in project meetings; assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (i.e fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect company interests and simultaneously maintain good relationship with clients.
Review and incorporate historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports) into measureable units (i.e. man-hour figures).

Review proposal specifications and drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

Provide complete conceptual (or bid work) and final estimating input on complex projects.
Provide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids.
Insure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
Assist contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.

Track awarded contracts as required, including (but not limited to) estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring materials.

Perform additional assignments per supervisory direction.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction industry (asbestos and/or lead hazard abatement experience preferred).

Construction and job costing experience.

Proficient in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word) and accounting/estimating software.
Able to work well as a team player.

Problem solving/troubleshooting ability.

Strong communication and organizational skills, with an attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.

Environmental Holdings Group (EHG), an environmental remediation and demolition company, has an immediate need for a Business Development Manager in our Raleigh NC office. This is a great opportunity for someone with an environmental consulting and/or construction background to get involved with a growing company! PRIMARY FUNCTION
Perform business development and marketing activities, including planning, strategy, and implementation, for the Triad Area.
1.Develop objectives and strategies in support of overall corporate business development goals in the assigned segment. 
2. Perform and manage research and client contact to identify and prioritize potential customers. This includes outward- and inward-bound “cold calling” of prospective clients. 
3. Prepare and execute business development action plans for specific targets. 
4. Supervise the development of proposals, presentations and brochure materials. Train and assist project personnel committed in proposals to make effective presentations. 
5. Meet client's needs prior to contract execution. Provide advice, liaison, planning, etc. to prospective and current clients. 
6. Assist management and estimating with sales process and final close. 

Educational and experience requirements include a four year degree (with a marketing emphasis preferred), or an equivalent combination or training and experience. Experience and/or familiarity with environmental consulting is a plus. Construction estimating, and supervision experience is also preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - with an ability to produce highly professional proposals and presentations.
This position is highly visible to potential customers and requires strong negotiation skills. The quality of effort will greatly influence corporate image, workload, and profitability. Overnight travel will be required.
